Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, the total area of Gangtok comprises about 7096 sq km and the population of about 6.2 lakhs
according to 2011 census.
The capital is at ease as it is only about 124 k from Siliguri, from the airport and Railway station as well,
It’s only a 4-hour road trip from all of the above-mentioned places, sharing its corridor with Darjeeling and Kalimpong as well.

The permit is a mandatory document that is needed to visit Sikkim, Indians as well as Foreigners
In addition to the Indian visa, International guests must obtain the Innerline permit (I.L.P) to visit Sikkim,
and can be bought from the Indian ministry if home Affairs (M.H.A) New Delhi and Calcutta, Sikkim tourist office.
#The avail period for International Guests, as per initial permit is only 15 days
In case you visit the interior part you may also require a Protected area permit, that can be obtained from Gangtok,
from the department of tourism.
